JERNBANEPLASSEN I SANDVIKA
Jernbaneplassen ble etablert som en del av det nye stasjonsanlegget som en avslutning på gågataf (tidligere ringeriksveien). Sentralt på plassen er det en vannfontene. Vannet faller fra et brusekar ned på en vanntrapp i granitt. Fontenen er omsluttet av et sirkulært basseng med granittkant der
folk kan sitte. I sør har plassen en stor bred trapp og ramper opp til Øvre torg. Ved stasjonsinngangen er det butikker og kiss and ride. Plassen har belegg av hesteskoformet smågatesten.
RAILWAY SQUARE IN SANDVIKA
The railway square was created as part of the new station facilities at the end of the pedestrian street (formerly Ringeriksveien). A fountain is situated centrally in the square. The water falls from a frothing vat down onto granite stairs. The fountain is encircled by a pool with a granite lip upon which people can sit. On the south side of the square is a large, wide stairway and ramps leading up to the upper square. By the entrance to the train station there are shops and a kiss-and-ride commuter drop-off point. The square is laid in small horseshoe shaped cobbles.
