HOLMLIA STASJON
Holmlia er en del av Søndre Nordstrand, og ligger på strekningen Oslo–Ski. Atkomsten til plattformene er fra en veibro som krysser jernbanelinjene. Hensynet til funksjonshemmede, eldre og barnevogner gjorde at man valgte en løsning med trapp og heis. Heisen har et åttekantet tverrsnitt og pyramideformet tak, alt støpt i betong med horisontale fuger. Inntil broen er det lagt et repos som leder trafikantene rundt tårnet og ned trappen. Plattformen har overdekket gangvei som ender i en paviljong. Takformene er bundet sammen slik at anlegget skal virke mest mulig monumentalt, tross sin beskjedne størrelse. Taket er tekket med blågrått metall, og all betong er malt i lys terrakotta. Hensikten med både utformingen og fargene er at stasjonen skal synes godt i landskapet – være et landemerke.
HOLMLIA RAILWAY STATION
Holmlia is a residential area in Oslo’s Søndre Nordstrand district and skirts the railway line between Oslo and Ski. Access to the platforms is from a bridge that crosses the tracks. Considerations for people with physical disabilities, for the elderly and for prams led to a solution with stairs and a lift. The lift has an octagonal floor plan and a pyramid-shaped roof, in poured concrete with horizontal joints. A landing has been placed against the bridge that leads passengers around the tower and down the stairs. The platform has a covered pathway that ends in a pavilion. The roof forms are united to make the facilities appear as monumental as possible, despite a modest size. The roofing is in bluish grey metal and all the concrete is painted in light terracotta. The intention of the design and the colours is to make the station stand out in the landscape – making it function as a landmark.
