Konkurranseutkast er et samarbeid i Team 3-regi med Jensen & Skodvin Arkitektkontor AS og C. V. Hølmebakk arkitektkontor. Høsten 2007 inviterte Rom Eiendom AS til prekvalifisering for arkitektkonkurranse om utviklingen av Oslo sentralstasjon. Team 3 ble prekvalifisert, og konkurrerte våren 2008 mot tre andre team. En viktig forutsetning i konkurransen var at tilrettelegging av næringsarealer skulle finansiere fornyelse og utvidelse av selve stasjonen. Prosjektets idé er å etablere et stort sammenhengende stasjonsrom med innganger fra tilstøtende byrom. Taket i statsjonsrommet er en konstruksjon med tre etasjer næringsarealer. Taket har åpninger som slipper dagslys ned i stasjonshallen, og gir sidelys til næringsarealene. Stasjonshallgulvet er møblert med avtrappede paviljonger som yter service til de reisende på ulike plan og terrasser. Arkitektonisk var ønsket at stasjonshallen skulle fremstå som et stort indre landskap der de reisende beveger seg mellom ulike typer av servicetilbud. Prosjektet inneholder et forslag om å flytte bussterminalen i Schweidgaardsgate til en ny terminal over buttsporene på sjøsiden av stasjonen. Innkjøring til bussterminalen er fra Nylandsveien som er planlagt nedrampet til Dronning Eufemias gate. Prosjektet gir mulighet for høyhus med karakteristiske former og en stor takhage på stasjonshallen.

A competition proposal in collaboration directed by Team 3 with Jensen & Skodvin Arkitektkontor AS and C. V. Hølmebakk arkitektkontor. In the autumn of 2007, Rom Eiendom AS issued an invitation for pre-qualification to an architectural competition to develop Oslo’s Central Railway Station, Oslo
S. Team 3 was pre-qualified and competed in the spring of 2008 against three other teams. A major prerequisite of the competition was the inclusion of business premises to provide revenue for the refurbishment of the station itself. The key concept of the project was the creation of a large interconnected station hall with entrances from the immediate urban vicinity. A roof construction with three floors of business and office space would be placed above the station hall. The roof would have openings that let daylight into the hall and the sides of the office areas. The station hall floor would be furnished with descending levels and terraces for pavilions providing services to passengers. The architects intended to make the station hall function as a vast interior landscape for travellers who could move about with access to a variety of services. The project included the proposed relocation of the bus depot from Schweidgaardsgate to a new terminal above the rail head on the fjord side of the station. The driveway to the bus terminal would be from Nylandsveien, which would ramp down to Dronning Eufemias gate. The project could also entail the construction of high-rises with characteristic forms and a large roof garden atop the station hall.
